Dr. Essam El-Kordi, President of Alexandria University, received on Tuesday, 4/7/2017, Ambassador / Mohamed HagiHamza, Ambassador of the Republic of Tanzania in Cairo, where the two sides reviewed the benefit of the Nile Basin countries offered by the University of Alexandria to study the Masters and Ph.D. The two sides also followed the procedures of the cooperation agreements between the University of Alexandria and the universities of Tanzania for cooperation in various academic and research fields and to study the possibility of implementing joint supervision programs to obtain degrees (Academic channels).

The two sides also discussed the regularization of the medical convoys sent by the University of Alexandria to the Republic of Tanzania. The President of the University indicated that the University of Alexandria will send a convoy in the field of pediatric surgery to Zanzibar at the end of this month with the possibility of sending other convoys in the field of retinal surgery and eye surgery of children, Also among the hospitals of the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University and the Republic of Tanzania to activate the medical tourism in Egypt. The meeting was attended by Prof. HishamGaber, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Rehab, Advisor to the President of the University for African Affairs and Dr. Ahmed Osman, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
